Identification of design parameters; operation/ control variables and output parameters for the study
Fabrication of experimental setup to perform parametric study
Collection of experimental data for analysis and arrival to valid conclusions
Perform numerical simulation for validation of experimental results
To check the feasibility of process intensification phenomenon of rotating packed bed with industrial applications (cooling towers etc.)

The elaborative understanding of the physical phenomenon of transfer process of heat occurring inside the rotating packed bed will be developed.
Performing both experiments and numerical simulation will help in describing the effects of various parameters such as packed bed rotation (rpm), porosity, specific area, pressure drop, flow rates, heat transfer rate and heat transfer coefficient and the temperature distribution across the RPB.
These outcomes can later be transferred to industrial applications for instance; the rotating packed beds could prove helpful in cutting down the size of conventional cooling towers that soar up to more than 100 m in height.
