Brief Introduction

Dr. Alaknanda Ashok took charge as the Dean of College of Technology, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantngar in February 2020.
She did Ph.D. in Digital Image Processing from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee. She had experience in various capacities like Nodal officer of G.B. Pant University, twice the Controller of Examination of UTU, Dehradun, Senior principal scientist at CSIR, Delhi, Director Women Institute of Technology, Dehradun, committee member of Ph.D., academics, administrative council and admission committee of Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU), Dehradun. She is a member of various academic societies. She had chaired and was keynote speaker in several conferences. She has organised number of national/international conferences, symposiums, workshops, webinars and training programs, Several MOUs have been signed under her leadership.
She is a keen sports person also and has participated as Indian athlete at international level in badminton, National kayaking player, Plays tennis. She does swimming and horse riding and also is the Vice President of Badminton Association of India and President of Uttarakhand Badminton Association.
She has recently received "PRINCIPAL OF THE YEAR-2020 award".
