After a hiatus of yet another year, our endeavours to organize a grandiose meeting of our illustrious alumni in the college campus took the shape of Samanvay’07 organised on 15th and 16th of September.
Samanvay – our Annual Alumni Meet, reflects the very essence of the harmonious relationship existing between our alumni and students and aims at strengthening it all the more.

The event got off to a gracious start by a welcome note in the Gandhi Auditorium followed by honouring of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Vishveswaraya, 15th September being the Engineer’s Day.

The formal inauguration of the Day made way for some valuable speeches by the distinguished guests present. The student fraternity was enlightened by Dr. B.K. Gairola , the Chief Guest, who gave us an insight into the corporate world. We were also privileged to have with us Dr. R.S. Kanwar, Proffessor & Deputy Chairman, Iowa State University, USA whose speech on Agriculture and Environment was highly engrossing for the students. There was yet another guest lecture by Dr. Gajendra Singh, Vice Chancellor, Doon University whose golden words of advice will guide us for years to come.

The PTAA reached another landmark by laying down of the foundation stone of Samanvay Bhawan – The Alumni Hostel. This was an effort to ensure a sense of hospitality and belongingness to our venerable Alumni.

The above programme swerved into a grand lunch for everyone. It was marked by a vivacious tete-a-tete of the students with the Alumni. The joy of the re-union, the joy of sharing experiences, yes… the sheer ecstasy was palpable enough…

The liveliest programme of the day – the Cultural Evening… the most awaited element of the fiesta, exuded lots of enthusiasm and gaiety. The air was there on stage to rock everyone and swipe them of their feet. The beautiful evening show was then followed by a regimented supper that pleased one and all.
The glorious moments of multifarious emotions prolonged all day long..some were rolling in mirth reminiscing and sharing past anecdotes .. some were absolutely lost in their old memories.. some were enjoying the luscious food.. yet anyone could easily perceive those clear limpid eyes and Samanvay, thus, showcased its worth again – the meet that brought past and present together to nuture future.
